The background of this piece is gabardine framed by jacquard upholstery fabric and mounted on light weight plywood. Background 'foliage' is created from tulle, corduroy, and tweed upholstery fabric.
The 3-dimensional effect is achieved by separate construction of the flower (fused faux suede and corduroy), stems and main leaves (corduroy and upholstery velvet 'veined' by machine embroidery).
