 Olde World Santas

The Santas by Shirley Ivison

Legends Collection | Classic Collection | Canadian North Santas | Fibre Art Santas | Tartan Santas | About | To Order
The Santas at Columbine Cottage are entirely hand crafted by Canadian Santa Artist, Shirley Ivison. Their lifelike, moulded cloth faces are often mistaken for ceramic or porcelain.
Shirley pays special attention to fine detail in the clothing and accessories. Costumes are skillfully created from fabrics ranging from burlap to rich velvets; some fur trimmed, others all fur. All boots, belts and bags are made from leather although 'faux' fur and Ultrasuede® may be substituted by custom order. Each figure is supported with a sturdy, padded armature of wood and wire.
St Nicholas

The Legends Collection

This collection of 21 Figures is the result of extensive research of Christmas traditions and legends. Your imagination will be captured as you discover the evolution of Santa Claus, from before Christianity when the Winter Solstice was the mid-winter celebration led by a shaman, to Santa as we know him today. Each one bears a tag revealing its legend.

Frost

The Classic Collection

The seven Santas of this collection were inspired by the old European styles as captured on antique Christmas cards.
These interpretations have been named to catch the 'spirit of the season'!

North Woods Santa

The Canadian North Santas

These original Santas are interpretations of how our very own Canadian Santa could appear. They are 'one of a kind' dressed for Canada's North, with a a rustic, 'woodsy' appeal.

Tundra Claus

'Tundra Claus'
